This committee supports the vegetable and flower gardens around the school through volunteer work days and supporting curriculum with nature-based activities.

This committee provides support as needed throughout the year in the form of event
set-up/breakdown, clean-up, and general
"helping hands" whenever some more physical hands are needed!

New for 2025-26, we are so excited to have a dedicated fundraising committee! This committee will coordinate and strengthen our fundraising efforts to allow PTO to better serve our students, teachers and school community.

This committee supports faculty and staff through special events, food, and other goodies to show our appreciation for the great work they do!

Ribbit Run 5K
Relaunched in March 2023, this 5K and fun run provides a strong connection between Johnnie Lay Burks Elementary and the community. It's also a great fundraiser for school projects and is a wonderful tradition.

Also new for 2025-26, we finally have a communications team! This committee will work to organize our online presence and outreach, to better communicate Burks PTO information to you.
